Key Responsibilities

• Design the mechanical foundations of next-generation MRI. Develop innovative mechanical components and assemblies that meet demanding requirements for precision, reliability, safety, and usability.

• Own mechanical development from concept to reality. Take designs from early concepts and CAD models through simulation, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.

• Solve challenging engineering problems. Use structural analysis, finite element simulations, and hands-on experimentation to optimize mechanical performance, deformation, and reliability.

• Build for the real world. Design robust, manufacturable systems, working closely with suppliers and partners to turn prototypes into reliable, production-ready components.

• Make every component work as part of the system. Collaborate across mechanical, electronics, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and overall system performance.

• Deliver safe, reliable, and user-centered designs. Validate mechanical performance, address ergonomics and usability, and ensure designs meet applicable medical device quality and safety requirements.

Relevant technical skills: 3D CAD and mechanical design (SolidWorks or equivalent), structural simulation, and finite element analysis (FEA).
