Analog Electronics Engineer
Skills & Experience
Top-tier engineering school, or PhD in physics.
Proven expertise in designing, simulating, and testing analog and RF circuits, with experience in low-noise systems or signal acquisition chains.
Solid understanding of electromagnetic principles, analog signal paths, and interfacing with digital control systems.
Excellent planning and communication skills; capable of guiding research planning and reporting results across stakeholders.
Experience with PCB design and layout tools, cable shielding, and EMI management.
Hands-on experience using test and measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, VNAs, and spectrum analyzers.
Proficiency in Python.
Professional proficiency in English and French.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the design, simulation, and validation of complex analog and RF electronic systems.
Lead and mentor the team working on RF systems, coordinate daily team activities, managing project assignments, timelines, and milestones to meet the company’s goals efficiently
Lead or contribute to the design of RF coils, transmit/receive chain optimization, and electromagnetic system tuning and their characterization.
Contribute directly to the development of analog/RF hardware, including PCB schematic and layout design, cabling, shielding, grounding and system integration tasks.
Design and perform controlled measurements of electronic noise spectral densities, transfer functions (DC to microwaves) and several other observables to identify dominant noise source in the output signal in order to mitigate them.
Oversee the characterization and testing of electronic components and systems using test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
Translate experimental findings into clear documentation, providing actionable guidelines for integration of electronic solutions.
Collaborate with other engineering teams to align system-level development efforts and integration planning.
Who We Are
Chipiron is a French startup that is leveraging the emerging properties of ultra-low magnetic fields (<30mT) to build the first light, inexpensive MRI machine without compromising on image quality. We're a team of engineers based in the heart of Paris, and our mission is to revolutionize the medical imaging industry by developing the first plug-and-play, patient-friendly breast MRI that works everywhere.
Our Culture
We are an international, English-speaking team that values technical excellence, interpersonal intelligence, and engagement. At Chipiron, this means we look for people with exceptional analytical ability, who enjoy mastering complex problems and executing with rigor and precision; communicate clearly and concisely, are self-aware and willing to ask for help and to help others when needed; people who go the extra mile, and instinctively move where impact is highest, rather than staying confined to a job description.
